MEASLES, MUMPS, RUBELLA, CHICKENPOX (MMRV)
Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Chickenpox (MMRV) The 4 in 1 Vaccine
This investigational research study is testing a 4 in 1 vaccine designed to protect your child against four childhood diseases; measles, mumps, rubella (German measles), and varicella (commonly referred to as chickenpox). All children will receive a vaccine to help protect against MMRV, In addition, all children will receive the standard vaccines to protect against hepatitis A and bacterial diseases like meningitis.
Take a moment to consider and answer the questions below to see if your child may be eligible to participate in this study.
1. Is your child between the ages of 12 – 14 months? Or will they shortly reach this age?
2. Has your child previously received 3 doses or the 7 - valent pneumococcal vaccine (Prevnar) in the first year of life?
3. Has your child been previously vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella (German measles) or chickenpox?
4. Has your child ever received a vaccine for hepatitis A
